Incorporated in the design is a 1\/8\" firewall plate to add safety in fire protection and sealing from the engine bay in the result of an oil or fuel fire.  All columns come powder-coated Gloss Black.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOur steering column utilizes a split collar locking design to secure the shaft from the bottom, along with a  welded washer on top. This creates a safe option as opposed to press fit bearing options on the market that can heat up or work themselves loose, leaving drivers with a potentially dangerous situation.  \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis column comes standard with a Motion Raceworks 5\/6 bolt SFI approved quick release installed and welded.  \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAdd a Grant or MPI steering wheel, one of our very popular steering wheel buttons, and a u-joint to adapt the round shaft coming out to an aftermarket 3\/4DD steering shaft.
